Role Overview

As an Associate, you will play a critical role within our Executive Search team, partnering closely with Search Partners and Delivery Partners to deliver retained search mandates at the senior leadership level.

We partner with some of the industry’s most respected organisations, supporting the delivery of nationally significant projects and growth initiatives, with mandates frequently requiring detailed national and global market mapping. 

You will join an experienced and collaborative research function, developing deep sector expertise and becoming a trusted advisor internally on market intelligence and talent mapping.

Key Responsibilities

With a high degree of integrity and passion, you will:

• Partner with Search Partners and Delivery Leaders on retained executive search assignments, contributing to search strategy and candidate profiling
• Conduct comprehensive market mapping to identify and prioritise target organisations aligned to client size, structure, sector and geographic criteria
• Identify and engage prospective candidates through a multi-channel sourcing strategy including database research, industry networks, previous assignments, corporate disclosures and industry publications
• Develop a strong understanding of relevant industries, organisational structures and leadership dynamics
• Participate in client briefings to ensure clarity of role scope, cultural context and success criteria
• Screen and qualify potential candidates against agreed competencies and experience benchmarks
• Prepare high-quality client documentation including longlists, shortlists, submission reports and market intelligence summaries

• Strong systems literacy and ability to leverage research tools, databases and digital platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex research into clear insights
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to identify, assess and track prospective candidates across multiple sources
• Commercial curiosity and an interest in industry, project and market trends
• Experience maintaining CRM systems to accurately track search progress and candidate engagement
• Exposure to structured referencing processes is desirable

Experience & Background

• 1 - 3 years' experience in executive search, research, professional services or a corporate environment
• Demonstrated analytical capability and intellectual curiosity
• Interest in the construction, property, infrastructure or engineering sectors
• Ambition to build a long-term career in executive search
• Sydney based with full working rights within Australia
