MEET OUR NEW TEAM MEMBER

Author: Cole Dziatkewich/Wednesday, November 4, 2026/Categories: Quinton Anthony

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND.

I'm originally from the UK and relocated to Sydney in early 2025. I have more than seven years of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition across the property and construction sectors in both the UK and Australia. Much of my career has been with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, where I specialised in Facilities Management recruitment, partnering with stakeholders to attract and secure high-performing talent.

WHAT INITIALLY ATTRACTED YOU TO JOIN QA?

I first heard about QA through a former colleague who had spent several years with the business. After meeting the team and learning more about the company, its values and the services it provides, I saw a fantastic opportunity to deepen my experience within the construction sector while being supported by a highly knowledgeable and collaborative team.

QA offers the best of both worlds. I can work closely with clients and become an extension of their internal team, while also benefiting from the collective knowledge, industry expertise and support of the wider QA team.

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU BRING TO THE QA TEAM?

Working within large, complex organisations has given me a strong understanding of how businesses operate and the impact that great people can have on their success. I bring strong stakeholder management, relationship-building and networking skills, along with a proactive and consultative approach to talent acquisition. I enjoy connecting people with opportunities and helping businesses build high-performing teams.

Having recruited across multiple sectors in both the UK and Australia, I've built a diverse network of professionals ranging from emerging talent to senior leaders. My experience has given me valuable insight into the challenges businesses face when attracting talent, as well as a strong understanding of the market and the people driving it.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR CAREER AT QA WITH LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK?

Outside of work, you'll usually find me at the beach, whether that's catching up with friends over coffee, going for a swim or enjoying a coastal walk. Living close to many of my friends makes it easy to stay connected and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that Sydney is known for.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WISHLIST FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS WITH QA?

I would love to become a recognised specialist within the construction recruitment sector, continuing to grow my network, deepen my industry knowledge and build long-term relationships across the market. My goal is to be known as a trusted advisor who consistently delivers value to clients and candidates alike.

I see myself with a strong reputation and network across the market. Recruitment is built on relationships and I want to be someone people naturally think of when they need trusted advice, market insight or access to great talent.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ANYONE WANTING TO GET INTO THIS INDUSTRY?

Focus on building genuine relationships. Recruitment and talent acquisition are people-focused industries and success comes from creating trust, maintaining strong networks and delivering value over the long term.

IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL, EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

My mum’s cooking is the best – she is originally from The Philippines and I love her food. My favourite is a dish called Sinigang which is a sour tamarind soup with meat and veggies served with a side of rice.

IF YOU COULD INSTANTLY BECOME AN EXPERT IN SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I'd love to know another language. Spanish is the top of my list as I plan to travel to South America one day.

BIGGEST PET PEEVE?

The traffic in Sydney!

WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED, AND HOW HAS IT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?

"Pick your battles." Recruitment can be unpredictable, with changing priorities, declined offers and last-minute surprises. That advice taught me to focus my energy on what I can control and not dwell on the things I can't, which has helped me stay resilient and positive throughout my career.

NAME FOUR PEOPLE, LIVING OR DEAD, THAT YOU WOULD HAVE OVER FOR DINNER.

My two besties who live in the UK.

My two baby nephews who live in Thailand.

Living overseas means that I don't get to see them as often as I'd like, so having dinner with all four of them would be really special.

WHAT'S ONE PASSION PROJECT OF YOURS?

Travelling the world - I love exploring different countries and experiencing new cultures.
