We recently spent an inspiring and deeply insightful couple of days at our EOFY Conference, where we gathered to reflect, learn, and celebrate our achievements.
Day One: Discovering Ourselves and Building Resilience
Our first session was led by our Senior Partner in Leadership Development & Assessment - Nadia Chodkiewicz. Through an HBDI Assessment session, we gained a greater sense of self within the broader team, enhancing our ability to communicate and collaborate using a whole-brain thinking model. The room buzzed with excitement as we uncovered eye-opening facts about our individual and collective biases.
In our second session, we were privileged to hear from ex-Olympian Toby Jenkins. Toby is a husband, father, Olympian, executive coach, and award-winning entrepreneur and author. Driven by his purpose of changing the world's relationship with suffering, Toby shared his non-clinical approach to mental resilience: open up, be present, and do what matters. His session provided a valuable pause, reminding us of life's most important aspects.
We concluded the day by celebrating our 2024 award winners:
- QA Team Player: Sabrina Strydom
- QA Rising Star: Sahana Gabriel
- QA Project Team: Dan Copping | Lara Burgess | Steve Guerin | Kelvin Baronet | Kristen Watts
Congratulations to all our winners! We are incredibly proud of your contributions to QA and the positive culture you help foster.
Day Two: Embracing our Values and Vision
The morning session focused on our new company values: Pride | Curiosity | Connection | Accountability. These values underpin our culture and guide our mission to become Australia's most respected Search, Advisory, and HR Consulting firm whilst setting new standards of excellence across the industrial landscape. We split into groups to discuss what these values look like at their best, ensuring we stay aligned with our mission.
In the afternoon, we reviewed the past year and shared our vision for the future. This business update provided valuable insights and set the stage for our continued growth and success.
We also bid farewell to Greg Ford, who, after nine years, decided to pursue a new career path. We honoured Greg with a touching video and an overview of his achievements, celebrating his lasting impact on QA.
The conference concluded with announcing our most prestigious award: the 2024 QA Way award, presented to our Head of Marketing & Communications, Valerie Jauregui!
We left the conference with a renewed sense of meaning and purpose thanks to the group's contributions. This year's gathering was our most engaging yet, and we are excited about the future.
