TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND.
I was born in Cardiff, Wales, and moved over to Perth at the age of eight. As I am an only child, in Australia, my family consists of my mum, auntie, and two little cousins. I attended UWA where I studied a double major in Psychology. After University, I managed to secure an internship as a researcher for Goldrick Ellis, an executive search company based in Perth.
WHAT INITIALLY ATTRACTED YOU TO JOIN QA?
I chose QA because I thought it was the best opportunity for me to further my experience in the world of search, whilst allowing me to relocate to Sydney. A huge attraction point of QA was also the ability to work across multiple sectors of the business, whether that be in search, consulting, or advisory. All three services are of great interest to me, and it is rare to be presented with an organisation that is willing and open to presenting these differing career paths to their employees.
WHAT SKILLS DO YOU BRING TO THE QA TEAM?
I believe my strongest skills are my abilities to: observe the small details in people, develop trusting relationships quickly, and my curiosity.
HOW DO YOU BALANCE YOUR CAREER AT QA WITH LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I love playing soccer, spending time with my friends, watching any sort of sport, and cooking new things.
IF YOU COULD INSTANTLY BECOME AN EXPERT IN SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Reading body language and non-verbal cues.
People not washing their dishes!
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF PROFESSIONALLY IN 5 YEARS?
In five years, I see myself fulfilling my goal of becoming a registered Organisational Psychologist. I want to work with teams and individuals to assist them in maximising their potential.
WHAT IS THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND HOW HAS IT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?
It costs nothing to be kind.
NAME FOUR PEOPLE, LIVING OR DEAD, THAT YOU WOULD HAVE OVER FOR DINNER.

WHAT'S ONE PASSION PROJECT OF YOURS?
Currently, I am heavily involved with a soccer team over here in Perth, Inglewood United. A friend of mine who is on the board of the Perth Ukrainian Society has been working with the club to reestablish the relationship between the football club and the Ukrainian people of Perth. One of the steps in this was establishing an amateur men’s team at the club, which I am coaching. It has been a privilege to be a part of fostering this reconnection between the two parties involved. Coaching the men’s team has taught me a lot about myself and my coaching prospects, as well as teaching me a lot about Ukrainian culture.
