After an incredibly challenging 12 months which saw HR departments all over Australia having to step up to the challenge of leading through a crisis, Quinton Anthony is proud to be named one of Australia’s Innovative HR Teams of 2021 by Human Resources Director Australia, after successfully implementing a number of innovative policies for our people.

“We are once again very proud and thrilled to be recognised by HRD Magazine,” said Sergio Floyd, Group Managing Director of Quinton Anthony. “Receiving this honour attests to the significance we attach to continuously evolving our employee experience, the importance we place on our people’s wellbeing and the talent of our leadership team.”

Each year, HRD Magazine, Australia’s only magazine written for and targeted purely at the most senior HR professionals and top corporate decision makers, produces a report on the most innovative HR teams in Australia. The companies featured in the report are considered to be leading the way in HR innovation and setting new benchmarks for the HR industry.

“This past year, more than any prior, we have focused our efforts on creating innovative benefits and initiatives for our team that focus on their overall health and wellbeing; whether physical, mental, or financial. These include our Employee Profit Share Scheme, Employee Share Scheme, Financial Wellness Program, Wellness Committee and Mental Health Training as well as increasing our Personal Leave policy to recognise mental health days. Throughout 2021, we will continue to be committed to creating more forward-thinking and innovative programs that improve the employee experience,” said Corporate Services Manager, Milly Freestone

Across the HR sector, industry leaders have had to fast-track policy implementation and lead the crisis response during the early stages of COVID-19. Although the HR industry was in the midst of dramatic transformation through digitisation and automated processes, policy initiatives were becoming bolder. As the workforce went remote, HR teams had to maintain engagement, support wellbeing and respond to rapid changes.

Looking to the future, HR will continue to be at the forefront of leading organisational change in response to further impacts of COVID-19. As businesses map out their new ways of working and engagement, flexibility and culture will be key. Embracing new and more efficient forms of HR technology will enable HR professionals to implement good change management and policies to best support all levels of the business.

Health and wellbeing initiatives have become crucial, opening conversations around mental health and creating opportunities to develop an inclusive and supportive workforce. Over the year, Quinton Anthony worked to expand its HR policies to offer a greater holistic approach to employee wellbeing.
